Towards Kiyomizu

The end of the year is like the end of a roller coaster ride -
The year starts off with a steady climb up to the highest point.
With the rattling of the gears. To remind us that we are not static.
That we are in for a breath-taking ride. The exhilarating plunge
Engages us as we move to the near turn. And next loop.
And next curve. And then - before we know it, the brakes are applied.
The ride slows. And then, lo and behold, it is the end of the year.

I feel like the world is moving faster than me.
The world is moving at double-quick time.
Tick tock tick tock tick tock tick tock - It is day.
Then night - In a blink of an eye. Being at a temperate spot
Made it worse. The skies darkened before five in the evening.
Initially, it was first of december. And then I was on the plane to Kansai.
Then it was my birthday at Koyasan.

I blinked. And then I was back in Singapore.
And now I am in K.L. Soon it will be Christmas,
Then the end of the year. The end of the year -
Is always a good time to reflect. Since the world
Seems to move at a faster pace, one's mind
Should slow down somewhat, giving one some space
To pause, and frame the year's moments.

Like portraits hanging on a gigantic wall.

Only want to talk about the picture. Actually like the concept but better if the background can be blur out. Or get rid of all the people by photoshop...:-)))

It could be because you had been very busy with things. Time moves quickly when you are busy. Of course, it's always good to stop and reflect amidst all these busyness that whatever you are doing is meaningful. For one, I think 5 degrees is a meaningful project you have started and I wish for you that it continue to grow and give you the satisfaction. Finally, wishing you a merry Christmas and happy new year!
