:: Spreading the Cheer This Evening ::
What is this world, if full of care
We have no time to stand and stare?
I’m never a strong advocate of charity.
I dislike the fact how charity fulfills one’s certain need for
Self-fulfillment. Though not always necessarily perfectly true,
Doesn’t one donate for the need to feel charitable, or to feel good?
Don’t get me wrong. Of course we would want to do our part
To raise some funds for a needy cause, but is this act intrinsically
A gift of compassion, or the need to fuel the ego?
I guess the answer is a mix of both.
As a human being, it is perhaps an innate need and a moral value of ours
To want to contribute to the betterment of society, and of mankind.
That includes the animals too, so let’s not forget them!
Ego or otherwise, as long as we can play a part
For a better tomorrow, let’s do it. =)

Hi all!!
We're slightly more than 24 hours away to the SPCA's charity drive.
Us 5Degrees have just collected a huge box of merchandise
consisting of calendars, note pads, tee's, greeting cards, car window
stickers, etc, all up for sale for this evening’s Powerful Pasar Malam at
Play, beginning 8pm. However, merchandise alone isn't enough!!
I've heard that some of our members will be bringing really cute
collectibles (amidst some useful stuffs lol), CD's, magazines (clean ones!),
tee's, polo's, etc, etc. So, do come on down! It'll be pretty interesting
and I'm sure you'll be able to get something you need want (there're
only a few basic needs, the rest are all wants. My professor told me so!!).
