:: Inherently Within ::
Finished my first stanza today.
Scribbled untidily on the left.
Then rewritten a little neater, a little smaller, on the right.
With a dot under every syllable, to form ten syllables a line.
Metal, matter, matter, mettle.
Mechanical and messy. Me.
Falling off the tightrope onto the net.
I land comfortably, like a lucky star.
Suddenly Australian Idol's Chris Murphy and Paul McCartney come to mind.
No More Lonely Nights.
And so I'll carry on my song hunt.
One by Tanaka Rouma & The One that Got Away by Natasha Bedingfield.
And so little Giddy asks,
How do I keep it going then?
I smile and say.
Time moves. I stand still.
We'll have that dinner
And wave goodbye to Kelly Rowland.
