:: Into The Night ::

With a couple of dollars and no change to spare
He got into the car, determined, yet uncertain.
Gotta keep moving, gotta keep driving, he told himself.
There's no time to waste, no time no time
Gotta keep moving, keep moving
Gotta leave yesterday for tomorrow
Gotta drive into the shadows of the night
Somewhere hidden, somewhere safe
To somewhere. Somehow.
Yet he can't help wondering as he glanced into the rear mirror
About the journey he has travelled so far.
Has he been going round in circles
Making the wrong turns at the crossroads?
Is there such a thing as a wrong journey?
A passenger mutters something in his sleep.
His eyes averted from the mirror onto the sleepy ones.
Lips pursed into a smile, he felt the warmth from within.
He switched the headlights on, and stepped on the accelerator
And zoomed into the night.

The neverending road beckons.

Happy hols!

did he use the street directory?

did he use the street directory?
is there a street directory for tomorrow?

oh, but all roads "end"--they fork.

interesting.. so when it forks, it's still the same road?

when people change, they are still the same person?

it's certainly one journey, but not the same road, maybe.

who knows. reality is about as fixed as the weather.

Read into_the_wild.... already...

How did you find it?

Will discuss with u later.... Too many issues encompasses my mind....
Not just meticulous details/info.... ahh well

perhaps you could try waking the passengers up

- they might be familiar with that part of town :)

you mean, "he".
i doubt he wants to wake the sleeping passengers; he's a driver for a reason, methinks.

my bad.

well, if the passengers don't mind when they wake up, there's no such thing as a wrong journey, only a wrong destination. which would then just lead to the start of a new journey.

mirrors my feelings when i was driving in orlando late one night, still half deciding whether i had wanted still to stay in orlando to visit parliment house or to drive on to cape canaveral. lost my way then, and started reflecting if i should have actually quit my job...

nah ! deep in his heart he knows the way. if he trusts in his intuition, he'll know his journey...

"...thought Alice, and she went on. "Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to," said the Cat.
"I don't much care where--" said Alice.
"Then it doesn't matter which way you go," said the Cat.
"--so long as I get SOMEWHERE," Alice added as an explanation.
"Oh, you're sure to do that," said the Cat, "if you only walk (drive) long enough."

I used to own a car
And I took long drives
Into the night

I used to look back
Half expecting to see a ghost
In the rearview mirror

i lived out of my car for a while when i was in my college years. and joggers like to peer in and think i'm a ghost.

i'll always take the backseat...
