:: Don't Let the Bedbugs Bite ::
"You're better off without me," six words.
The six words echoed in the stillness of the night.
Eyes closed, he tried to sleep.
As a horde of bedbugs, from beneath his pillow, crept out
And surrounded him.
"You're better off without me," they chorused.
"You're better off without me," they chirped in unison
As they foraged for scraps of hope along the leftovers.
He stared, at the ceiling, for the longest time
Until the dark veil of the night was pierced
By the first ray of light.
ewwwww~ bad bugs..nice~ C:
we chose who to be with, and besides, someone's worth is neither a choice nor a value measured by anyone or anything. it is amusing to think that by that remark alone, one can brush off dealing with the real issue(s). we all know this because we all have used those six words before.
"you are better off without me" can be used to mean "i want you to be happy"
but why is he/she not using "i want you to be happy", those six words, instead of "you are better off without me"?
it is not hard to guess why.
