Crazy

Follow the sun?

After reading sunbreeze's entry today, it made me think a little about life and aging.
He was quoting the song "Forever Young"... and the words
Forever young, I want to be forever young
do you really want to live forever?

struck a chord in me.

"do i really want to live forever?"
Upon a flicker of deliberation, i realised that i wouldn't even dream of living forever.
With eternity life has no value; it would simply be taken for granted. And it's a revelation how things, when view from our very parochial perspective seem so ideal, so perfect...
but are seriously flawed. We cannot see the larger picture.

I am running on a track. I am moving forward. Is the track moving towards me at the same time?
Concurrent, the globe is spinning round the sun; and the sun is probably orbiting around the galaxy.
So where am I really moving towards?

See an empty room in the dark. The dimmer is adjusted and the room grows brighter.
See more details. And that's the passage of life. We see more as we grow older.... and that's life...

Blabbering again... doh.
Oh well, there's this interesting song by the Beatles... shall dedicate to sun for his birthday then... how apt!

I'LL FOLLOW THE SUN
One day you'll look to see I've gone.
For tomorrow may rain, so I'll follow the sun.
Some day you'll know I was the one.
But tomorrow may rain, so I'll follow the sun.
And now the time has come
And so my love I must go.
And though I lose a friend,
In the end you'll know, oooh.
One day you'll find that I have gone.
For tomorrow may rain, so I'll follow the sun.
Yes, tomorrow may rain, so I'll follow the sun.
And now the time has come
And so my love I must go.
And though I lose a friend,
In the end you'll know, oooh.
One day you'll find that I have gone.
For tomorrow may rain, so I'll follow the sun.

Hungry Hungry Hippo

It's nine, and I've yet to take my dinner. Eating alone's boring, and I'm simply too lazy to go out and tau pau food.
Hmmm will settle it somehow.

Nonetheless, had a fulfilling day today. Spent the entire morning on Effective Problem Solving using BRIEF Therapy.
Jotted down a good quote:
"We can try to avoid making choices by doing nothing;
but even that is a decision"

--- Cary Collins.

Other than that, windsurfing was great. I can see that I am improving, and Patrick the sifu singled me out and tested my tagging and jibing skills. I'm eager to learn more and go the distance. It's interesting how windsurfing is becoming a personal zone, like my gymming sessions.
It's just me, the equipment, and nothing else.
Everything else blurs......
