Robert Burton's Anatomy of Melancholy states, "A dwarf standing on the shoulders of a giant may see farther than a giant himself."

And sometimes, we get too comfortable standing on the shoulders of the giant that we take our perspectve for granted and forget what we really are, a parochial piece of s**t.

erm big words leh... what's it mean by a parochial piece of anything?

Definition: [adj] narrowly restricted in outlook or scope; "little sympathy with parocial mentality"; "insular attitudes toward foreigners"
[adj] relating to or supported by or located in a parish; "parochial schools"

Synonyms: insular, provincial

Roger that. Thanks for the definition. Its one of the many times when I have find the meaning of another word when I read the definition of another. Me the typical farmer brain :P

but that is human nature wat..if we don't behave that way, we arent human :)

But being human, we have the ability to reflect upon ourself..so through reflection, we will realise our mistakes and change to be a better person.

Hmm, but it could be a symbiotic relationship no? Like looking ahead for the giant ... pointing the way forward for him? I guess it's important to appreciate the giant on whose shoulders we stand ... and to bring some value to the relationship in return. Maybe then we'll be less a piece of s**t and more an equal partner? :)

Oh well.... reminds me of the frontline and operational ppl i'm working with right now.... The really indsipensable giants of all associated groups..... Ummm as for drawves..... They can be a bit too demanding for the giants at times...

should be indispensable typo :P

Hmmm, so the dwarf's giant demands may dwarf the giant's? Oh boy ... *blur* :)
